Françoise Pétrovitch’s art is associated with the torments and fissures of adolescence, that in-between time that questions the mysteries of the human psyche. Marked by a kind of restraint, even self-effacement, her figures nevertheless reveal an inner turmoil, a psychic density close to overflowing.
