Graduated from La Cambre in 2018 and winner of the 2018 Woluwe-Saint-Pierre Arts Prize in the Drawing and Painting category, Robin Wen lives and works in Brussels. The artist’s painting practice explores the world of the Free Party through its lifestyle, one driven by a youth seeking freedom. Initially a documentary approach, Robin Wen uses personal archives or objects from his daily life to powerfully and sensitively address the fragilities and violence within this environment. His drawings and paintings, now transformed into ‘anthropological objects,’ bear witness to a universe oscillating between the fantastic and realism.
